WaveTek 1080 Sweep Signal Generator.

I picked up the WaveTek awhile to learn how to use it. I had to apply some JB Weld to the lower right corner to repair a case crack, but other than that, it appears to work as advertised. It covers 1 MHz - 1 GHz and offers three marker options including an external marker input. Signal Generators that go up to 1 GHz are generally pretty pricy. It comes with the manual. I’ll take $183.00 which is less that I paid for it.

Heathkit PS-3

I don’t remember where I found it, but I replaced the electrolytic caps, a couple tubes and aligned it. The meter face has a crack, but it doesn’t affect the operation. 0 - 10 MA at 450 vdc, 0 - 130 MA at 200 vdc. One on Ebay sold for $199.00 plus shipping. The Tubes alone are nearly worth the asking price of $65.

Simpson 260 P Overload Protected

If you know what it is, you can appreciate the quality. I picked it up because I needed something that had an input impedance of 20K per volt for aligning vintage equipment accurately. I’ve actually upgraded to a newer version, so this one is excess. I’ve used these for over 50-years, and this one worked for a living. The battery compartment is corrosion free.

Signal Hound USB-SA44B Spectrum Analyzer Measuring/Receiver

This unit is current production and lists for over $1200. The software is available on line for free and it allows you to really dig into the spectrum. The self-calibration is returning a fault (hence the price), but I haven’t seen any errors in strength reports. They’ll recalibrate if for you if that’s important for a couple hundred so it’s still a steal at $400. I replaced it with a self-contained unit with a display versus using a laptop. Plug it into a usb port and add an antenna and you're in business.
